R2A Webinar series: ‘A cup of tea with…’ Episode 3

By 10/03/2017

Research to Action’s third webinar in the ‘Cup of tea with…’ series will be held on Thursday, 30th of March at 14:00 GMT.

The webinar will explore the topic of capacity building, with a focus on institutional capacity building in the context of Sub-Saharan Africa. This month’s guest speaker will be Diana Coates, Managing Director of Organisation Systems Design. The webinar will be facilitated by Nyasha Musandu, Learning Coordinator for Research to Action.

Diana will share her experiences of leading the DFID-funded Development Research Uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa (DRUSSA) programme and reflect on the lessons learned during the five-year project which coordinated 22 development-oriented universities in 12 different countries.

The format will be concise and participative, starting with a 20-minute discussion between the guest speaker and facilitator, followed by a 10-minute Q&A with the audience.

Sign up for the free webinar using GoToWebinar and download the software when prompted via email. You can also join the conversation using the hashtag #R2AWebinar across different social media platforms. The webinar will be recorded, with a video recording, the presentation slides, and a text summary available after the webinar for those unable to participate in real time.

The webinar series is being held on the last Thursday of every month, with the aim of providing a useful moment of reflection on participants’ previous week of work and any associated uptake-related opportunities or challenges. Topics for upcoming webinars are listed below.
