Umar Sheraz

Umar Sheraz graduated with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston, USA, in March 2005. He currently works as a Senior Policy Analyst at COMSTECH (Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation), which involves product development, including journal publications and white papers across the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) member states. A major part of his job has been delivering lectures related to Intellectual Property Rights, Technology Transfer, Strategic Foresight and Coordination of STI policy at COMSTECH training programs. Umar has worked with the Rockefeller Foundation, Institute of Alternative Futures (USA), Think Tank Initiative (Canada), Bangladesh Enterprise Institute, Mount Allison University (Canada), Practical Action (UK), ARK Consulting (Pakistan), GIZ Health Sector Support Program, Pakistan Air Force and Aga Khan Economic Planning Board.
