Head of Policy and Advocacy – Traidcraft Exchange

By 01/03/2019

Salary Scale: Band 1-2 (from £45,000 including London weighting allowance)
Hours of work: Full time (37 hours per week), flexible
Location: London
Role type: Permanent

At Traidcraft Exchange, we are proud to have been at the forefront of shaping the discourse around trade justice and advocating for small-scale farmers, workers and artisans worldwide. Most recently, we won an award for our ground-breaking advocacy campaign on Brexit.

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Policy and Advocacy who wants to make a real difference to the way trade works, and who will build on our excellent reputation and ability to punch above our organisational weight.

You will be a dynamic leader with a track record of successful advocacy work and the knowledge and expertise to navigate the emerging political landscape. You will be able to represent Traidcraft Exchange powerfully in external forums, work in partnership with allies and provide strategic internal leadership, as well as managing a small team of policy advisors.

If you want to combine strategic organisational leadership with staying connected to day-to-day policy and advocacy work, have knowledge of trade and development issues and like the idea of playing a vital role in a small but specialist organisation, this role could be for you.

Closing date for applications: 9am, Monday 18th March 2019

Provisional date for interviews: Wednesday 27th March 2019
