Evidence from evaluations can be a vital ingredient for policy and programme decision making.
However, ensuring evaluations are used by the right people in the right way for the right
purpose is not straightforward at all. Evidence needs to be available, at the time it is needed, in
the format needed by the audience, aligned with decision makers’ interests and be politically,
practically and financially feasible.
