The Good Law Project and groundbreaking investigative website Bellingcat hosted an online discussion on the power of open-source investigations to hold those in power to account on Friday, 25 March at 5.30pm GMT.
Good Law Project’s legal director, Gemma Abbott, was joined by renowned journalist Carole Cadwalladr, Bellingcat’s director Eliot Higgins, and Good Law’s investigator Russell Scott.
They explored how open-source and citizen journalism can be used to hold powerful elites to account, how it should and shouldn’t be used, and their hopes and fears for the future of this type of work.
A recording of the event is available to watch on Good Law’s Youtube channel.
