Open access guidance, databases and more!

By 18/05/2022

Some research is available to anyone, anywhere, at any time, for free. Open access (OA) means that research findings are immediately and permanently free to read, download and use in any way. Research funded through government or charitable grants will often be open access and free to read immediately on publication.

The University of Essex have collated a wide variety of databases, publisher content and plug-ins which allow you to find open access versions of research and documents readily available for you to use without having to pay fees or have membership. As well as the content itself, they have also provided some guidance and tips around open access resources.
