Free webinar: Beyond content delivery: How to make online learning truly participatory

By 22/03/2023

Over the last 10 years INASP’s online learning has enabled over twenty thousand professionals across East Asia, Africa, and Latin America to develop new knowledge, master new skills, and apply them in their workplace.

Their latest book Digital Technology in Capacity Development: Enabling Learning and Supporting Change, published with African Minds, synthesises what they have learnt, shares insights, and provide pragmatic advice on how technology can be leveraged effectively to enhance or strengthen capacities of individuals, teams or systems.

In a new three-part webinar series to accompany the book, INASP debates some of the most topical issues around online learning in the ‘Global South’.

The first webinar, on Friday, 31 March, 2023 at 12:00 – 13:00 BST, is dedicated to online interaction: Beyond content delivery: How to make online learning truly participatory?

In the first part of the webinar, Joanna Wild – Senior Digital Learning Designer, INASP – will introduce the findings presented in the book. Then our three panelists – Professor Diana Laurillard, University College London, UK, Dr Zainab Yunusa-Kaltungo, Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe, North-East Nigeria, and Dr Farooq Rathore, Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, Pakistan – will discuss how learners’ expectations are changing, what discourages interaction, and the implications for learning design.
