Community involvement in research improves both the usefulness of the work as well as ownership over its findings. This is especially true in the field of health. The Wellcome Trust, a major funder of health research, takes seriously the issue of how to do this better. It has commissioned a multi-country scoping study to understand how communities can play a genuinely meaningful, inclusive, and reciprocal role in the research ecosystem. Pivot Collective is conducting a rapid survey as part of the study. They are working in partnership with Eh!woza, citiesRISE, Restless Development, Vocal, Praxis, and Fiocruz.
The survey should take 15-30 minutes to complete, and data will be anonymised. It can be found here – please do grab a cup of tea and participate before the end of this week Friday May 19th to have your opinions noted!
