Does research methodology matter to a communicator?
Dr Annapoorna Ravichander is the Executive Director at the Public Affairs Foundation (PAF) and has a PhD in History. She wears another hat too: she is also Head of Policy Engagement and Communication and Training at Public Affairs Centre (PAC). Annapoorna has more than 30 years’ experience in training and communications. Previous positions include Director-Training and Head of Policy Engagement and Communications. She received the Rotary Award for Exemplary Services in 1999, Vadodara, a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation award (Portugal 1985–86) and University Grants Commission (UGC) fellowship from 1984–88. Dr Ravichander is affiliated with On Think Tanks (OTT) as South Asian Editor at Large. She is also an Executive Member at the Vadodara Centre for Animal Rescue and Emergency (VCARE). She has published several blog articles and edited books and reports.
Research to Action (R2A) is a website catering for the strategic and practical needs of people trying to improve the uptake of development research, in particular those funded by DFID.
We have structured the site and populated it with material that we think will be immediately useful to this audience, but also to development researchers in general who would like to be more strategic and effective in their communications.
