Shakil Md. Faisal joined Institute of Governance Studies (IGS), BRAC University as Communications Associate in 2013. At IGS, he assists the IGS Communication Team in preparation of communicative materials from research findings and outcomes, website content creation and management, managing Events and Publications, maintain active engagement with media, Policy Engagement Communications & lobbying with Govt. Officials on etc. He is also associated with University of Development Alternative (UODA) as an adjunct Faculty in the Department of Communications and Media Studies (CMS). Moreover, he conducts Trainings on Mass Communication, Journalism and Media Studies for grassroots journalists and young media professionals. He is also associated with leading national daily online natunbarta.com. Prior to joining IGS, he has worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Communications and Media Studies, UODA since 2010 and he also served there as Public Relations Officer from January 2009 up to December 2009. He received his BSS and MSS in Communication and Media Studies (CMS) in 2007 and 2009 from UODA.
