The Global Development Institute (GDI) at The University of Manchester is where critical thinking meets social justice. Researchers at the Global Development Institute are addressing some of the biggest challenges the world faces, from global inequalities and the politics of development to globalisation. We’re Europe’s largest dedicated development research and teaching institute and amongst the top ten in the world for Development Studies.
GDI is seeking an experienced Research Communications Officer, responsible for delivering communication activities across a range of channels to enhance the impact of academic research, raising the profile of GDI activity amongst academic and research audiences. The Research Communications Officer will also lead our alumni relations, with a view to enhancing research impact, as well internal communications within the Institute as a means of building relationships and identifying opportunities with academic colleagues.
You will sit within the GDI Communications and Impact team and work closely with colleagues within the Faculty Communications and Marketing Team, Knowledge and Impact Team, and the Division of Communications and Marketing, including media relations colleagues.
